Seriously?

Yes when it comes to the intensity and competition between those two Front Range schools.  A lot of CU fans are going to miss the CU-NU rivalry but I am grateful for the CU-CSU rivalry and it looks like having a genernation of fans from both sides growing up with this rivalry at Invesco Field is starting to bear fruit in many areas that non-Coloradoans can't see.

I was at a few stores looking for those new black CU football jerseys but couldn't find them...the same goes for the Rams.

Everyone is still posturing.  I have posted some important facts out there that suggest CU will be in the Pac-12 next year.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to have a nine game conference schedule with 11 teams while it is possible to have an eight game conference schedule with 11 teams.  If the Pac-10 was to go with 11 teams, every Pac-10 school will have to scramble to get one more OOC game on their schedule.  Every Big 12 team has only three OOC games scheduled for 2011 and if the Buffs have to stay in the Big 12, every Big 12 school will have to scramble to get one more OOC game.  CU's schedule is already set for 2011 regardless of conference membership since the Buffs already have five OOC games scheduled thanks to the road game to Hawaii to begin the season since they can play 13 games and they have a game against Cal in Boulder for 2011 for OOC play.  If the Buffs go to the Pac-12, they simply drop Cal for no cost.

One other option is to go to a 10 game round robin but that means 22 schools will have to drop at least one OOC game which can be expensive and in today's economy, not wise at all.

What the Pac-10 is trying to do is reduce CU's exit penalty so they don't have to give CU as big of a loan necessary.  The Big 12 is posturing against the Big Ten and Pac-10 for the reduced $$$ handouts.  Mike Bohn told one CU Buff Club outing that CU fans shouldn't believe every thing that is said in the papers.

The Big 12 doesn't want to have to go to court and if they keep up what they are doing, the ten Big 12 schools will be footing the Big 12's legal bills plus paying CU & NU and their new conferences their legal bills.  As it has been pointed out in numerous papers, the Big 12 does not have a very strong case in being able to collect even one penny from the conference.  A recent Denver Post paper said that the Buffs have until October 15 to inform the Pac-10 where they will be at in 2011...in reality, it's a deadline for the Big 12 to avoid one huge headache for 22 schools or the Buffs & Huskers will take the Big 12 to court and I think that is very likely.

My advice to you is to stop reading such articles until it is official and it hasn't been official yet.

MARK IT DOWN: THE BUFFS WILL BE IN THE PAC-12 IN 2011.

well hopefully NU-Mizzou can play for the bell even if they played it in KCMO.

That would be...heated.  For a lack of better words.

If you were guessing, will Colorado join the conference in 2011 with Utah, or in 2012, per the original agreement?

LS: All indications at the moment are that it will be per the original plan, that they'll come in 2012. But I think the door is not completely shut. From what I understand there is still, I believe, there still may be conversations that are going on. But all indications thus far are that the Big 12 [and] Colorado will not work out the deal for Colorado to come until 2012.

PAC 10 / Rocky Mountain Showdown: CU versus CSU
« Last post by Bone Crusher on Today at 04:36:35 AM »

That is the photo of CSU fans storming the field after CSU beat CU at Folsom Field and stomping on the CU logo at midfield.

CSU fans have paid for a plane to fly a banner that says "CU Sucks.  Go Rams!"

You gotta love this rivalry and the games have been close.  This has been just as good as the CU-NU rivalry since they moved it to Thanksgiving back in 1996.

GO BUFFS!
GO PAC-12!
CSU SUCKS!

Big 12 rolls this week.  Maybe.

Okay, so just for the record....let me be judged by this tomorrow night...I think KSU rolls UCLA bigtime and the 3 "confidence" points that I gave them had more to do with the fact that all the other games seemed more obvious than any lack of confidence in my own team.  Maybe I've been drinking too much purple kool-aid, we'll see.  Good luck to all Big 12 teams tomorrow and congrats to ISU!

41-2 is the final...the second string offense did score one TD.

Very, very very impressive performance by the 'Cats.  I know Cornhusker fans might not agree with me about that but still some good football played with the usual first game mistakes.

I might put UA at #1 in Pac-12 rankings after this weekend.
